When Shopbox AI was formed in 2020, it was the culmination of an idea by Alan and Tariq that the benefits of AI should not be limited to only the largest organisations. They saw how these companies were reaping the benefits and decided to do something to change that.
For nearly 25 years, Alan has worked with retailers at the forefront of Advanced Analytics and AI to embed intelligence into business processes.
In his time at the forefront of developing new technologies for retail, he has spoken on trends, biases and opportunities at expert events across over 30 countries, from Finland to South Africa, the US to Singapore.
Tariq is passionate about data and engineering and the innovations that can be delivered through them.
He has previously held senior positions at high potential startups, as CTO and Engineering Lead. He built these operations from the ground up, creating high performing teams.
